Terms of Use

English — these terms govern the use of this site (tr8).

1. What tr8 is — and is not

tr8 is a simulation and educational tool. It paper-trades with virtual money on real market data, runs experimental algorithmic strategies, and uses a language model to generate research notes. It does not place real orders, does not handle real funds, and nothing on this site constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument.

2. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your own money and your own investment decisions. If you choose to act in the real world on anything you see here — a strategy signal, an LLM research verdict, an "opportunity" pick, a backtest result — you do so entirely at your own risk. Simulated and historical performance is not indicative of future results; data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong; language-model output can be confidently incorrect.

3. No warranty, no liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for losses or damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, including (without limitation) financial losses resulting from decisions informed by its content, data inaccuracies, service interruptions, or errors in strategies and model output.

4. Accounts

Accounts are personal and invite-only. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. The operator may suspend or remove accounts at any time, in particular when usage disrupts the service.

5. Data sources

Market data and news are retrieved from third-party sources (e.g. Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, Finnhub, RSS feeds) and remain subject to those providers' terms. No guarantee is given for their accuracy or availability.

Cookies & Analytics

tr8 itself sets only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie after login and, where enabled, a gate cookie. These are required for the service to function, contain no tracking, and are not shared with anyone.

This site runs on a subdomain of mapprints.de. Google Analytics cookies set domain-wide by the main site (names beginning with _ga) may therefore be visible to your browser on this subdomain. tr8 does not load Google Analytics and does not read, send or process these cookies — no analytics or tracking scripts run here. Consent and settings for those cookies are managed on mapprints.de (footer → cookie settings); you can also delete them in your browser at any time.
